Alma Restaurant – Homemade Comfort
Since October 7, I’ve been serving in the reserves while expanding Alma—a new restaurant in Tel Aviv. This loan will help me renovate.

After years in Jerusalem, I brought Alma to Tel Aviv to share the same homemade comfort. While serving in the reserves since October 7, I remain committed to growing my restaurant into a welcoming space for all.
Micro lending, Macro Impact
Alma has always been about homemade food at fair prices. Now, I want to improve the Tel Aviv location—renovating the space, upgrading equipment, and ensuring we continue serving fresh, quality meals in a warm and inviting setting.
My business - My spark
Alma started as a legendary Jerusalem restaurant specializing in handmade soups and kubbeh. Expanding to Tel Aviv was a dream come true—bringing tradition, warmth, and great food to a new community. Every dish is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, served with care.
A few more words
I’m Lior Cohen, an engineer and entrepreneur. Since October 7, I’ve been serving in the reserves while working to grow Alma. I started this place because I missed simple, homemade food at a fair price—somewhere that feels welcoming, like home.
