Aviv Builds a Healing Motherhood Space

My story

My name is Aviv, I live in Moshav Shekef in the Lachish region, and I am married with three children. In recent years, I have dedicated my life to supporting women during the sensitive postpartum period, driven by a deep mission and complex personal experience. The center I established was born after I personally dealt with postpartum depression twice, stemming from a deep understanding of the critical need for a real physical space where women do not have to be alone. I am a therapist at heart, managing a clinic for birth processing and leading women’s groups, with a desire to recreate the “tribe” of the past – a place where women live, help, and support one another during the most challenging moments of their lives.

This loan will help me enlarge and expand the physical "sanctuary" where this magic happens, so that I can host and contain a larger number of mothers in need of healing. This loan will help finance the expansion of activity hours into the afternoons and the creation of a dedicated overnight space for women who need deeper rest and recovery. Every week, the center hosts women and their babies, providing not just professional workshops, but primarily the closeness and human warmth so often missing in the modern era. The added value I bring is the combination of my professional expertise as a therapist and the emotional understanding of someone who has been there herself. The center allows women to simply "lean in," recharge their batteries, and process their birth experience in a containing, safe, and non-judgmental environment.
