My story

My name is Lior, a second generation settler in the Golan Heights, and together with my partner Dana, we established our home and farm in the moshav where I grew up. Since receiving the estate in 2008 we have worked tirelessly to develop it out of a deep connection to the land and Zionist values. Alongside our daily jobs we promote various rural initiatives on our land including apple crops, a wine vineyard in a joint venture, and leasing areas for mango orchards. Our family, including our three children and Toy the cute poodle, is the engine behind this work. We believe in developing this spectacular region in measured and relaxed steps while maintaining values of sustainability, community, and contribution to the country.

Micro lending, Macro Impact

This loan is intended to promote one of the central projects on our farm today: the installation of an additional solar power system on the roof of the agricultural shed in our yard. The system will allow us to produce electricity in a clean and sustainable way, thereby contributing to the preservation of the environment in the Golan. The income from the green electricity will serve as a financial anchor allowing us to continue developing the farm, plant new crops, and move toward establishing the planned rural hospitality complex. Your support will help us build the farm's financial infrastructure and strengthen agricultural settlement in the north of the country.

The uniqueness of our farm lies in the combination of traditional agriculture with modern and green entrepreneurship. We manage a multifaceted array including agricultural crops alongside solar power production based on a concept of excellence and sustainability. The added value we bring is the vision to turn the estate into "Batra Estate" a unique rural hospitality center centered around a family brewery. We don't just grow crops; we create a complete experience of connection to nature and roots, while ensuring high quality and extensive community involvement. The experience we have gained and our ability to manage several ventures simultaneously allows us to offer a model of a modern, green, and thriving agricultural farm.
