I’ve always known I wanted to be a barber. After surviving the violent attack in Sderot on October 7, I’ve slowly rebuilt my strength. Now I’m ready to grow my barbershop and create a welcoming space for everyone.
Micro lending, Macro Impact
On October 7, I was seriously injured when terrorists stormed my building in Sderot. After months of physical and emotional recovery, I’ve reopened my barbershop in a new location. This loan will help me renovate the space, buy new equipment, and expand services to include women—something I’ve dreamed of but haven’t had the resources to do until now.
My business - My spark
I opened my barbershop in 2006 after years of working in others. Cutting hair has always been my passion—it’s my craft, my connection to people, and my way of giving back. Now in a new location, I’m ready to elevate the space and expand what I offer.
A few more words
I’m Nissim Mizrahi, 41, a father of three, and a proud son of Sderot. I’ve faced darkness, but I choose to build light—through resilience, service, and gratitude. One day, I hope to support others just as I’m being supported now.
