Oryan – Solar Light from the South
I’m Oryan Gabay, a reservist and survivor of October 7. After over 370 days of army service, I’m launching a solar solutions business to bring affordable, eco-friendly lighting to homes and gardens across Israel.

End Date: 15 Jul, 2025
On October 7, terrorists infiltrated my region, putting my life in immediate danger. I was called up for reserve duty. After over 370 days of service, I returned home with a vision: to launch a solar energy business.
Micro lending, Macro Impact
This loan will help me complete my showroom, secure inventory, and grow our marketing efforts. As a resident of Israel’s south and a reservist, I’m building both a business and a stable future. Your support strengthens local entrepreneurship and promotes clean, accessible energy across the country.
My business - My spark
My business, Solarize, imports and sells solar-powered products for private gardens, yards, and public spaces—including solar security camera systems. In a world that’s moving toward greener solutions, I saw a real opportunity: simple, aesthetic, affordable alternatives to costly electric setups. Every product helps reduce dependency on the grid and increases energy access for all.
A few more words
I’m 27, from Talmei Yosef in the south of Israel—one of the communities hardest hit on October 7. I’ve chosen to rebuild, to create, and to bring light in every sense of the word. Thank you for helping me build a brighter, more sustainable future.
