Sara Prepares Authentic Kurdish Food
My business offers authentic Kurdish dishes to farmers markets and the Lachish region, and I need this loan to expand my kitchen and purchase new equipment.
My story
I’m Sara, 68 years old, living in the rural community of Nehora. For as long as I can remember, I loved watching my dear mother cook, absorbing a deep love for the aromas, flavors, and hearts of those eating. Today, I cook in a kitchen that evokes my childhood home, preparing authentic, traditional Kurdish dishes that are in high demand. I sell my food to private clients, primarily at the Lehavim farmers market on Fridays, as well as to residents of the Lachish region and Kiryat Gat. With every order, I love to treat my clients by adding a daily house special, introducing them to new flavors and connecting them to the culinary heritage I grew up on.
Micro lending, Macro Impact
This loan will serve as a vital tool to upgrade and expand my current kitchen, which is no longer sufficient due to significant business growth. The investment will enable essential renovations and the purchase of new professional equipment, streamlining workflow and increasing production capacity. For a small business built on family tradition, this support is the step that allows me to meet rising demand, maintain financial stability, and grow my practice smoothly while continuing to enrich the local culinary culture.
My business - My spark
The unique value of my business lies in the uncompromising authenticity of Kurdish cooking and the spirit of generosity that accompanies every dish. My food is meticulously handmade using high-quality ingredients and family recipes passed down through generations. Beyond the distinct flavors, my warm, personal connection with clients—expressed through small culinary surprises in every order—creates a nostalgic, welcoming experience that brings diners back to their childhood tables and fosters a loyal customer base.
A few more words
My dream is to fully utilize the large garden at my home in Nehora and begin hosting my clients for authentic lunch experiences on Fridays. I aspire to turn my home space into a vibrant hospitality hub where people can gather, enjoy nature, experience the rural tranquility, and savor genuine Kurdish flavors that truly warm the heart.
