Bringing Israel’s Story to Life

Educational Curriculum that helps educators bring Israel’s story and Jewish values to life through real impact and human connection. Our programs may be taught as a full series or as standalone sessions. Each session uses the SparkIL platform as a practical case study, incorporating experiential learning, Jewish text sources, and a real-world call-to-action.

The Journey:
From Ancient Wisdom to Modern Action

Our New Jewish Studies Curriculum (designed for day schools and supplementary schools, ages 11 and up) connects Jewish students to real Israelis through the values of mutual responsibility, ethical giving, and social entrepreneurship. It is a four-lesson arc that moves students through a meaningful evolution:

Building Bridges Through Mutual Responsibility: Students explore Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh LaZeh and Hillel’s famous teaching. Then connect these values to real Israeli businesses through creative storytelling.

Ancient Wisdom, Modern Innovation: Impact Lending: Rambam’s Eight Degrees of Tzedakah, written 800 years ago, turn out to be a blueprint for today’s most innovative form of giving. Students rank, debate, and discover why.

Peripheral Perspectives: Israel’s Diverse Communities: Through the “Steps of Society” simulation, students experience how geography, profession, ethnicity, and education shape life in Israel and who SparkIL is really helping.

From Inspiration to Action: Build Your Social Initiative: Students apply everything they’ve learned to design their own social initiative, identifying a community challenge, brainstorming solutions, and building a real action plan.

Not Just Content.
This is All About Connection.

SparkIL’s curriculum isn’t about Israel in the abstract. It’s about individual Israelis, their businesses, and the students who choose to support them.

Programs Tailored to Every Age

For our youngest learners (PreK-5): Building Bridges

SparkIL offers a single 45–60 minute lesson that introduces young students to the Jewish value of mutual responsibility and the concept of lending, using hands-on activities and real Israeli business stories. As a class, students choose an Israeli business to support through a SparkIL impact loan. You then mark the moment with a drawing, letter, or video message to the business owner.Educational Curriculum that helps educators bring Israel’s story and Jewish values to life through real impact and human connection. The SparkIL Difference: Why This Matters

This is how we turn learning into a living experience:

Grounded in Jewish values:

Every lesson connects to primary texts such as the Talmud, Pirkei Avot, Rambam, all which focus on making Jewish ethics feel alive, relevant and finding ways to perform tikkun olam

Real people,
real impact:

Students engage with actual entrepreneurs on the SparkIL platform. These are not case studies, but real Israelis whose businesses they can choose to support.

Teacher-ready materials:

Full educator guides, printable cards, worksheets, and offline alternatives. SparkIL offers everything a teacher needs, without overwhelming preparation.

Active, participatory learning:

Simulation games, creative projects, text debates, and design workshops. Students learn by actually doing, not only by listening.

A model that gives
back:

SparkIL loans are repaid and re-lent in such a way that the connection students create continues to grow long after the lesson ends.

Israel beyond the headlines:

Students meet the Israel of small businesses, peripheral communities, and everyday entrepreneurs, building nuanced, lasting connections.
